This unforgettable journey is perfect for students aged 12 to 17 years who are ready to gain independence, social skills, and confidence in a second language—all in a fun, enriching, and safe environment.

- One-week trip: first-time participants
- One-week trip: repeat visitors from previous summer
- Two-week trip: same price for all participants
- Flights are not included in the final price and must be purchased separately.

- Native and Knowledgeable Guides along with native English teachers and activity instructors.
Travel and Arrival Details
Luggage:
- Cabin backpack included, with an option to purchase additional luggage.
Transportation:
- Direct flight of just under 3 hours.
- Private bus from Dublin Airport to Ashford (30-60 minutes, depending on traffic).
Pick-Up and Drop-Off:
- Parents are encouraged to drop off students at the departure airport and pick them up upon return.
- Meeting point before departure: Cafeteria before security check.
- If parents cannot accompany students, arrangements can be made for drop-off at our academy in Alaquàs, where Niall and Joe will ensure a smooth departure.

- A passport is not required but recommended.
Ashford & Dublin Transportation
Ashford is a safe and quiet town, well-connected to Dublin by train, bus, and road. Happy Days Academy will rent a private bus for excursions. Students and instructors will walk between homes and school within Ashford.
Daily Life in Ashford
Morning:
- 8:00 – 9:00 AM: Wake up, have breakfast with the host family, and head to school.
- 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM: English classes (2 hours with Niall and/or Joe) + 1-hour recess (basketball/soccer courts available).
Afternoon:
- 1:00 – 1:30 PM: Lunch with the host family (except on excursion days).
- Days without excursions: Spend the day with the host family (activities may include barbecues, shopping, neighborhood visits, and cultural outings).
- Days with excursions: Gather at Niall’s mother’s house before departure.
Evening:
- 6:00 – 6:30 PM: Dinner with the host family.
- 6:30 – 9:00 PM: Free time (video calls home, TV, or family activities).
- 9:00 PM: Check-in time; all students must be at their host family’s home before this time.
Excursions & Activities
Excursions depend on the length of stay. Some of the highlights include:
- Dublin City Tour: Explore landmarks like Dublin Castle, Trinity College, and Christ Church Cathedral. Enjoy lunch in the city before returning to Ashford.
- Glendalough: Hike around this stunning glacial lake with breathtaking mountain views. Lunch in nature before returning.
- Brittas Bay Beach: A relaxing day by the sea (weather permitting), with a picnic and beach activities.
- Amusement Park (Tayto Park/Emerald Park): A full day of thrilling rides and fun, including lunch in the park.
Meals & Cultural Adaptation
Students will have three meals a day, provided by their host family. To fully immerse in Irish culture, we encourage students to adapt to local dining habits:
- Breakfast (8:00 – 9:00 AM): Similar to Spanish breakfasts but often includes yogurt, fruit, toast, eggs, sausages, bacon, and juice or water.
- Lunch (12:00 – 1:00 PM): A lighter meal such as a sandwich, soup, salad, or a simple dish with meat or fish, accompanied by fruit or yogurt.
- Dinner (5:00 – 6:00 PM): The main meal of the day, usually featuring a starter (soup or salad) and a hearty main course (meat, potatoes, and vegetables).
